Children’s book author Terri Peel Bechtold is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters who inspired her to write I Am Power! Over Me, Not Them, The Starfish Dance, For Infinity and Beyond, Momisms: Life Lessons from a Cool Mom, Imperfectly Perfect (mid 2026), and I Am Enough, Period! (later in 2026).
Terri is also the creator of the IMPowerment App’s signature framework, 
which teaches children and adults to take power over their thoughts, feelings, actions, and reactions. Built on Attitude, Perspective, and Perseverance, this framework is woven into all her books and is at the heart of her storytelling. Through the IMPowerment App concept—an “app” that isn’t a digital download, but something you activate within yourself each day—Terri helps families nurture emotional clarity, confidence, resilience, and the courage to face life’s challenges with intention and heart.
Terri first introduced the IMPowerment App in her book Momisms: Life Lessons from a Cool Mom, which instills values, encourages self-expression, and inspires personal growth while fostering self-worth, confidence, and inner strength. These empowering messages are designed to help both children and adults face life’s challenges with courage, perspective, and perseverance. Terri enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, taking adventures together, and going on long, quiet walks along the beach, her greatest source of peace and creative inspiration. She and her family reside in sunny Florida, where she loves walking, gardening, and spending time outdoors, especially by the ocean.
