The Starfish Dance
Released in October 2025
As I travel across Florida—attending shows, school events, and book festivals—I have the joy of meeting incredible people from all over the state and beyond.
Whenever someone decides to take The Starfish Dance home, I can’t help but ask:
“Where will it travel to?”
Each shaded state on this map represents a place where Kendi’s story has touched a heart, sparked a smile, or inspired someone to “let it go and dance.”
To date, The Starfish Dance has traveled to 8 states and across the globe — reaching France!
The Starfish Dance is a heartwarming, empowering story that reminds readers of all ages that even the toughest feelings can be transformed into laughter and lightness — starfish-style!
I’m endlessly grateful to everyone helping this story make its way across the country —
one giggle, one shimmer, one starfish dance at a time.
